It appears he was also indicted 4.5 years ago regarding falsified timesheets, don't know what the outcome of that case was (I'm guessing not convicted if he continued working for La Joya ISD) ... 9 indicted in purported time card scheme at La Joya school district 7 Apr 2010 Prosecutors said Dora Linda Garcia, the principal’s [Juarez-Lincoln Principal Jimmy Portillo Gonzalez] secretary, would prepare fake time sheets that were signed by Jimmy Gonzalez and six other teachers involved in the scheme. In all, at least $8,250 in payroll funds were paid out between late August and September 2009. The fake time sheets date back to November 2009, when the six teachers had already been paid for time worked — or for time not worked at all, such as during summer breaks, prosecutors said.
