First let's start with the standard Terms and Rules that comes with this forum software:
    • The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this web site ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts ("Content"). Content submitted express the views of their author only.
    • You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws.
    • All Content you submit or upload may be reviewed by staff members. All Content you submit or upload may be sent to third-party verification services (including, but not limited to, spam prevention services). Do not submit any Content that you consider to be private or confidential.
    • We reserve the rights to remove or modify any Content submitted for any reason without explanation. Requests for Content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion. We reserve the right to take action against any account with the Service at any time.
    • You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content in connection with the Service. You retain copyright over the Content.
    • These terms may be changed at any time without notice.
    • If you do not agree with these terms, please do not register or use this Service. If you wish to close your account, please contact us.
Secondly, please remember that our language of discussion is polite English. Profanity and vulgarity have no place here.

And thirdly, please take note of these three points:
    • We present public information. Get used to it.
    • I reserve the right to delete comments whining about the contents or format of the site.
    • Comments from unregistered users are allowed. However, as these involve a rather high noise-to-signal ratio, I tend to delete a lot of them.
My time is limited and I prefer to spend it posting productively, not dealing with busy-body whiners who should find other sites more to their liking:
    • Guest posts whining about public information that is posted here (e.g. addresses, phone numbers, assessor/property tax info, streetview imagery, etc.) are usually deleted on sight.
    • Registered users who whine about about this stuff get one and only one warning.
This is a site for the discussion of K-12 teachers, staff and administrators who misbehave, especially sexually. The priority order for selecting subjects is:
    • Cougars: Female teachers & staff who sexually abuse real children.
    • Tomcats: Male teachers & staff who sexually abuse real children. The term "tomcats" is not generally used for this, but I needed something parallel to "cougars" and settled on "tomcats".
    • Hanky Panky: Other criminal misbehavior, both sexual but not involving real children (e.g. child sex stings, child pornography) and non-sexual (drugs, alcohol, dui, robbery, fraud, assault, etc.).
Although the site is primarily concerned with educational miscreants in the United States, there is also a "Study Abroad" forum where we can give our overseas miscreants an honorable mention.

The information presented is usually a list of links to primary news sources with short fair-use snippets of information from most. As much as possible I try to find enough of these sources & snippets to tell the whole story. My personal preference has always been to go to the original sources as much as possible and do my own reading, and that is reflected in the format used here.

In many many entries you will also find arrest records, jail inmate reports, sex offender registration information, etc. Where these are too large to include in posts, there will be links to information, usually in PDF form, etc.. You can download these and read them on your own computers.

Emphasis is placed on cases occurring or still in progress. Older cases maybe be handled as time permits (it rarely does).

I'm especially uninterested in older cases where there are claims of wrongful conviction. Prisoners as a rule are 100% innocent -- just ask them. Let that be drug out in the courts, not here.

We try not to have too many rules here, but there are a few:
    • You must limit quoted material to short snippets that qualify as "fair use" under copyright laws. Excess quoting will be edited or deleted.
    • Photos from copyright sources cannot be uploaded to the site. I will delete most user-supplied images as quickly as I find them. Links to relevant images are acceptable. The images in my primary posts are usually public mugs shots from jails & prisons.
    • Video from several sources (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook) can be embedded in your posts. The actual video files are not allowed to be uploaded here.
    • Although the subject matter might require some "delicate" handing, this site is intended to be both work-safe and family-safe. Please ensure that all links lead only to materials that meet this expectation.
    • Names and images of minor children cannot be posted here, except in those very rare instances where they have already been published in primary news sources and are an integral part of the continuing story.
    • Spamming other sites (either your own or another's) is not allowed. This is not a link farm.
    • You must be respectful of other users at all times.
At the bottom left corner of every post you will find a "Report" link. Please use this -- and only this -- to report issues with the post. The report will include the exact information I need to locate the post.
