Jamie X on YouTube: A call to my childhood rapist teacher (Jan 17 2014)

I am 28 years old and have been waiting years to get up enough courage to report a teacher for sexually abusing me for years. When I finally got up enough courage to report her, I found out that the statute of limitations was up and she will never have to pay for the things that she did to me.

I decided to call her and make a video to let the public know what kind of person is around their children. Her name is Andrea Cardosa and works with your children at Alhambra High School in Alhambra, Ca.

Please help spread the word that this person is out there "helping" YOUR children!

As of Feb. 10 the video is available again, now at 1,339,195 views and counting!

Complete transcript of the phone call (courtesy NY Daily News):

    Carrillo: Is this Ms. Cardosa?
    Cardosa: Yes.
Carrillo: Um, the Ms. Cardosa that used to work in Moreno Valley?
Cardosa: Well, it depends on what part of Moreno Valley. Um, what, you know, um, yes.
Carrillo: Is it Val Verde school district?
    Cardosa: Yes.
Carrillo: [inaudible] used to work at Chemawa?
    Cardosa: Yes.
Carrillo: OK. This is Jamie. Um. You’re an assistant principal, huh?
    Cardosa: [sigh] Yes.
Carrillo: So what happens when a student comes in and says that they’re having a sexual relationship with a teacher?
Cardosa: Then I would involve law enforcement.
Carrillo: So how is that any different from what you did when I was at Chemawa middle?
    Cardosa: It’s not.
Carrillo: So why are you excluded from the law? Why did you do that? I was only 12-years-old when I met you. You realize you brainwashed me and you manipulated me? And that what you did was wrong?
Cardosa: Yes. And I regret it.
Carrillo: You know that I am completely messed up? That I have so many issues because of you?
Cardosa: I just wanted to help you.
Carrillo: How is having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old student helping?
Cardosa: That wasn’t anything that I intended. I don’t even know what happened.
Carrillo: It’s completely shocking to me that you are an assistant principal. Are you doing this with other students too?
    Cardosa: No.
Carrillo: Is that how you help them?
    Cardosa: No. Not at all.
Carrillo: You ruined my life. You ruined my childhood. You realize that?
    Cardosa: No.
Carrillo: You sicken me. You sicken me. Every day when I think about what you did you sicken me. I have kids of my own and I’m the age now that I pretty much met you at and I could never think about doing the things that you did. You should be so ashamed and so disgusted with yourself.
    Cardosa: I am. I am.
    Carrillo: How F-----g dare you.
Cardosa: I regret it every day. Every day.
    Carrillo: You’re disgusting. Bye.

ABC Local KABC: Alhambra High School administrator resigns amid sex abuse case (Jan 19 2014)

In the video, a woman in her late 20s claims she was sexually abused for years, beginning at the age of 12, by a then middle school teacher in Moreno Valley.

The woman in the video then calls her alleged female abuser, who she claims until Friday was an administrator at Alhambra High School.

During that call, she confronts the woman about the alleged sexual abuse, saying her life and her childhood were ruined.

"Do you realize that you brainwashed me and you manipulated me and that what you did was wrong?" the woman asks her alleged female abuser. "Yes, and I regret it," the alleged female abuser replies.

The woman on the other end of the line admits what she did was wrong, expresses regret, and admits she is ashamed and disgusted with herself.

"You sicken me, and everyday when I think about what you did, you sicken me," the victim says. "You should be so ashamed and so disgusted with your self."

"I am, I am," the alleged female abuser replies.

    ...

The alleged female abuser resigned after being interviewed by the district over the video, but currently faces no charges.

Christian Post: Woman Calls Childhood Rapist Teacher on YouTube: 'Everything Was Stolen From Me,' Says Jamie Carillo [VIDEO] (Jan 20 2014)

Carillo said that the abuse began when she was just 12 years old, and although the statute of limitations had already passed on the crime, the mother said she had to have answers. After a short while, she was able to contact Cardosa, who was still working with children as an assistant principal.

"I was only 12 years old when I met you. Do you realize that you brainwashed me and manipulated me, and that what you did was wrong?" Carillo said.

"Yes, and I regret it," Cardosa, who was a gym teacher at the time, admitted.

"Do you know that I am completely messed up, and that I have so many issues because of you?" she continued, mentioning that she had children and would never abuse them in the same way.

The 28-year-old mom said the molestation began with the coach kissing her in the locker room, then progressed sexually and emotionally all the way up to trips out of town together.

"Everything was stolen from me," Carillo told KTLA 5 news. "She just completely manipulated me into thinking that I needed her and I wanted it."

ABC Local KABC: Alleged sex abuse victim explains reason for coming forward (Jan 20 2014)

Jamie held a news conference Monday. She said she came forward 15 years after the alleged abuse took place because she now has children of her own that are about the same age as she was.

"It took a lot for me to come forward, but I kept thinking about my own kids and how I didn't wouldn't want anything happening to them," Jamie said.

In the video, she confronts Cardosa about the alleged sexual abuse, saying her life and her childhood were ruined.

"Do you realize that you brainwashed me and you manipulated me and that what you did was wrong?" Jamie asks. "Yes, and I regret it," Cardosa replies.

Cardosa admits what she did was wrong, expresses regret, and admits she is ashamed and disgusted with herself.

"You sicken me, and every day when I think about what you did, you sicken me," Jamie says. "You should be so ashamed and so disgusted with yourself."

"I am, I am," Cardosa replies.

On Monday, Jamie spoke about how Cardosa never apologized during the phone call.

"If you regret something then you apologize, and when you're sorry for something, you say it, and it doesn't take a long time to say it - she didn't say anything," Jamie said.

    ...

Jamie's attorney says he is looking to see if Chemawa Middle School in Riverside investigated Cardosa back in 1999. He says it appears that she was allowed to resign "and perhaps being given a positive recommendation so that she could go on to find employment elsewhere.

That's typically called passing the trash. If that is in fact true, everyone would agree that's absolutely outrageous conduct," Jamie's attorney said.

Pasadena Star News: Alhambra High School administrator accused of sexual abuse resigns (Jan 20 2014)

An Alhambra High School administrator resigned Friday after she was confronted with a YouTube video that accused her of the sexual abuse of a student in another school district, officials said. In an automated call to parents Sunday, school officials said they turned the matter over to the Alhambra Police Department at about 2:45 p.m. Friday ... School officials identified the accused as Andrea Cardosa, a vice principal at Alhambra High School, and said she resigned Friday after an interview with administrators. The resignation followed the release of a YouTube video made by Jamie Carrillo, 28, of Victorville.

    ...

Carrillo spoke quietly with her hands bunched tightly into fists and her arms glued to her sides. She recalled being threatened by the school teacher. “She told me that she would embarrass me in front of my friends and family and tell them I’m a lesbian and that I did stuff with her,” Carrillo said. “She really did make me believe the things that she had said to the point where I didn’t know that it was wrong.”

L.A. Times: Alhambra vice principal quits after YouTube sex abuse allegation (Jan 20 2014)

A woman identifying herself as the former student of an Alhambra High School vice principal went public with her accusations after her YouTube video alleging childhood sexual abuse went viral and sparked the vice principal’s resignation ... It shows a woman who identifies herself as a former student named Jamie calling and recording the voice of a woman who identifies herself as Jamie's former teacher. Jamie confronts the former teacher about alleged sexual abuse by the teacher against her that she says occurred when Jamie was in the eighth grade at a middle school in Riverside. In the video, the woman who said she was the former teacher does not deny the abuse allegations and expresses regret and disgust with herself.

Alhambra Unified School District Superintendent Laura Tellez-Gagliano said school staff received an email with a link to the video on Friday and immediately reported it to the Alhambra Police Department. Alhambra police contacted Jamie and verified the authenticity of her claims in the video before referring the complaint to the Riverside Police Department, according to a news release. Later that day, Tellez-Gagliano said, Alhambra High School’s vice principal of student services, Andrea Cardosa, resigned.

NY Daily News: Woman uses YouTube to snare her onetime school basketball coach for sex abuse (Jan 21 2014)

Carrillo, 28, has come forward to expose a relationship Andrea Cardosa allegedly started when the girl was just 12 — and stretched throughout her teenage years, according to reports. Carrillo recorded her phone confrontation with Cardosa — who had since risen to the ranks of assistant principal at Alhambra High School — in a video that was sent to school officials. Cardosa resigned from her post Friday — the same day the video was posted — and has gone into relative hiding since she was exposed online. Alhambra High School said in a statement obtained by The News that her resignation came after officials saw the YouTube video and confronted her about its disturbing allegations on January 17. "At the conclusion of that interview the Alhambra High School administrator tendered her resignation," the school said. "Alhambra Police department will be handing this matter over to the jurisdiction of the appropriate police Department."

Carrillo’s lawyers are exploring the possibility of a criminal or civil suit. They slammed her removal as a quiet resignation which they fear will allow her to continue her career. “She’s copped to it all in that phone call. It’s incredible," Carrillo's lawyer, David Ring, who specializes in abuse cases, told the News.

    ...

Cardosa cornered Carrillo one day at school — her advances grew from kissing to X-rated groping, the girl said. “She was kissing me, and then it turned into putting her hands down my pants,” she told KTLA. “She just completely manipulated me into thinking that I needed her and I wanted it.” The two carried on the torrid trysts until Carrillo was 20, she said. Cardosa can barely muster a full sentence in the video as Carrillo repeatedly slammed her alleged abuser for the entire world to hear.

She was also assistant principal at Vista Verde Middle School, Moreno Valley 2012-2013 school year.

That one I found, there's a PDF newsletter referencing her in that capacity on their web site. She also coached soccer at Rancho Verde High School in the same district.

Hesperia High School, mentioned above by Asia, is in yet another district (Hesperia USD). She appears to have been moving around quite a bit.

The authorities need to cast a really wide net to look for more victims.

If any of you can scan & upload Andrea Cardosa's pictures from your yearbooks, I'd appreciate it.
