Huffington Post: Arraignment Delayed For Andrea Cardosa, Educator Accused On YouTube Of Sex Crimes (Mar 7 2014)

Arraignment was postponed Friday for a California educator who was charged with sex crimes after a former student made sexual-abuse allegations against the educator on YouTube. Andrea Cardosa, 40, appeared briefly in Riverside County Superior Court, smiled sadly and winked at about a dozen supporters.
Defense attorney Randy Collins said outside court that the arraignment was postponed to April 18 to give him time to argue that the charges should be dismissed because of the statute of limitations. Collins said he has learned that Riverside police investigated the allegations in 1998, which would preclude prosecutors from bringing forward a case so many years later.
