Living in Folkston is something I'd never change. Being here all of my life, you learn to live with all of the "small town happenings." It is nothing new to know that pretty much everyone knows or is in everyone's business. I try hard not to get mixed up in it all. The best thing about Folkston is that you know almost everyone around! I am happily married to the most wonderful man in the world, Gene. He is the love of my life and I would be lost without him! We have two beautiful children, Kinsley and Drew. Unless something major changes, this will be my completed family! (Gene says we aren't having anymore, but he's not the one that controls it!!! Love you honey!) I am starting a new adventure with my teaching career. I have taught junior high mathematics for 5 years and in August I will be teaching high school math. I am excited about the change, but also nervous being pulled from the teachers and routine that I am use to! Other than normal everyday things, I live a simple life! I like for it to be that way! ....​

DaNita Wilson, 32, faces seven counts of sexual assault after a one-day investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said Stacy Carson, assistant special agent in charge of the GBI’s Kingsland office. Six of the students were at least 16 and one was younger than 16, Carson said.​

A Georgia high school teacher was arrested Tuesday after being accused of having sex with seven students, one of whom was 15. The Charlton County district attorney charged DaNita Wilson, 32, with seven counts of sexual assault, and more charges may still be pending, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.​

District officials began the inquiry Monday after receiving a complaint about the teacher. "We received information within the school system," said Charlton County Schools Superintendent John Lairsey. "The main meetings continued on Tuesday. At that point, we got the sheriff's office and GBI involved, and (Wilson) was removed from class before lunch."​

Danita Wilson, a 32-year-old teacher at Charlton County High School, is accused of at least seven counts of alleged sexual assault on a child, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The charges allege at least seven different students are involved, according to Stacey Carson, GBI Assistant Special Agent In Charge. Carson said the alleged activity has been going on for more than a year. The young people involved are not all Wilson's students, but they are or were students at the school at one time. The Charlton County School Board received a tip from an unknown source that was passed on to the Charlton County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday. At the request of the Charlton County Sheriff's Office, the GBI conducted an investigation, said Carson.​

The charges are in connection with having sex with one boy younger than 16, and six boys older than 16, which is the age of consent in Georgia.
