The extent of the relationship is still under investigation. Parks had resigned from his position at Statesboro High School prior to the incident being reported to police. Second Blue Devils coach accused of rape turns himself in to Statesboro Police Office 1 May 2014 Defensive Line coach Luke Parks, 26, decided to turn himself in to the Statesboro Police Office this afternoon. Mr. Parks and Wide Receivers coach Jeffrey Tyler Crowder, 25, are both charged with raping 16-year-old girls. Luke Edward Parks turned himself in to the Statesboro Police Department on 5/1/2014. Parks is being charged with Sexual Exploitation of Children and Sexual Assault. The investigation began on 4/25/2014 when the Statesboro Police Department was notified that Parks, a Statesboro High School Assistant Coach, was engaged in a relationship of a questionable nature with a 16-year-old female student at the high school. The Statesboro Police Department needs to hear from any student that was contacted inappropriately, either in person or electronically (phone, smart phone apps, social media, etc.), by Luke Parks or Jeffery Crowder. Former Statesboro High coach [NOT Luke Parks] pleads guilty to sex with teenage student 10 Feb 2015 Statesboro police are also investigating a separate case involving sexual misconduct by another former high school assistant coach with a different teenage female student April 24 when they learned of Crowder's involvement with a student, who was 16 at the time. Crowder was arrested at the school April 30. Luke Edward Parks, 26, of Jesup, was also arrested in April, but has not yet been indicted on charges of felony sexual exploitation of children and sexual assault.
