Once in the car, Moorehead transported the 14 year old to a Rankin County Park where he allegedly had intercourse with her. The alleged incident happened at the Reservoir. Moorehead transported the victim back to her house in Jackson. The alleged victim, in this case, was treated at an area hospital. Moorehead, a technology teacher for multiple grades at the school, is being held without bond in at the Rankin County Detention Center pending his initial appearance, Sheriff Bryan Bailey said ... Moorehead’s involvement with the child actually began when she was 13, when he kissed her and gave her Valentine’s candy that year, the lawsuit alleges.Moorehead met the child in 2013 when she was serving as a “Cougar” office helper at the school, with her duties including running errands for the school’s main offices, including to the classrooms of teachers ... School personnel sent the child to Moorehead’s classroom when he was alone there, the lawsuit alleges. Moorehead began calling the child that summer, the lawsuit alleges, and told her not to tell. He asked her what she wanted for her birthday that November, and “she told him she did not want anything,” the suit alleges. On March 3 of this year, the suit alleges, Moorehead called the child and asked her to eat with him at Red Lobster, telling her to sneak out of her house and meet him several houses down on her street only after she was sure other family members were sleeping. He again told her to keep their association secret “because he would have a difficult time explaining to his children why he was talking to a child,” the lawsuit alleges.
