[Walter M.] Whitehall is suspected of going to the woman’s Wenatchee home about 5 a.m., which was the same time as another man was leaving the residence. That man called the woman a few minutes later and heard yelling. He then called 911 to report what he’d heard. Police officers responded and the woman, 36, told them she had been choked. Whitehall was arrested a few minutes later driving away from the area in his vehicle. The woman sustained red marks and scratches on her neck and throat when she was choked, and a black eye, Smith said. The police report did not indicate that the woman was transported to a medical facility. The man who called 911 reported that the woman told him she was choked with a condom. When she talked to an officer, she did not mention the condom. She said the situation was embarrassing and gross and she did not want to go into detail.
