Frankfort supt. issues statement on teacher investigation

Community Schools of Frankfort Superintendent Don DeWeese said the Frankfort Police Department notified him that Tom Weeks, a history teacher and boys basketball coach at Frankfort High School, is under investigation and could be possibly charged. DeWeese would not specifically say what the investigation is about or what charges he could be facing. DeWeese said the school has contacted all families believed to be involved. He said the school is cooperating with police during the investigation. DeWeese said Weeks did not resign and is still employed by the school. DeWeese says the school board has not taken action yet. A Frankfort teacher has been arrested after police say he tried to seduce a student. According to RTV6, 46-year-old Thomas Weeks was accused of improper conduct with a female student. Frankfort teacher accused of having inappropriate relationship with high school student

Thomas Weeks, 46, was taken in to custody without incident Wednesday afternoon. The claim was child seduction. “Basically what that means is that he had an inappropriate relationship, some of which we believe was sexual,” said Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon. The investigation began a few days ago, after receiving a tip. “It really all started Monday when someone close to Mr. Weeks came and reported possible allegations,” Bacon said.
