TEXAS VIEW: Stop improper relationships The number of reported cases of improper relationships between teachers and students is growing at an alarming rate and needs to be addressed by the Legislature. In the past five years, there have been 893 investigations into inappropriate relations between educators and students in Texas, the Austin American-Statesman reports. Last school year alone, 207 cases were reported to the Texas Education Agency, several from Bexar County.
