The 45-year-old woman is jailed in Champaign County on $50,000 bond. She was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault. A police report said the mother of a 16-year-old student started noticing her child getting gifts and special privileges from the teacher. The report noted that the boy even spent time with Bond outside of school. This was going on for a few months. A couple of days ago, Urbana police officers started investigating the situation. Police said they got statements from other people involved and collected evidence like cellphones. Police said inappropriate sexual contact had happened between the student and the teacher off school grounds.
