Police: Ex-Hendrickson High choir teacher arrested Steven "Kirk" Anderson, 32, was arrested at his home in the 200 block of Juniper Drive in Georgetown. The arrest warrant was issued by the McKinney Police Department, located near the Dallas Metroplex in Collin County, Texas. Anderson was previously employed by a high school in McKinney, Texas before moving to Georgetown, police said. The investigation was initiated in July when the victim told police about ongoing incidents from the 2007-2008 school year. The victim told police that Anderson engaged in inappropriate communication via text with him while he was a junior high student in Anderson's choir class. Ex-Pflugerville choir teacher charged with sending obscene texts Steven “Kirk” Anderson, 32, has been charged with solicitation to commit sexual assault in connection with communications in 2007 and 2008 he had with a student he taught at a middle school in McKinney, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals office. Former Hendrickson HS teacher arrested for sending obscene photos to student McKinney police started their investigation into [Steven “Kirk” ] Anderson in July when the victim made an outcry to authorities concerning a series of events that happened while Anderson was a choir teacher at Scott Johnson Middle School in McKinney during the 2007-2008 school year. The victim said Anderson started contacting him via text messages with various questions, the questions then progressed to obscene images. Former McKinney teacher accused of soliciting student to perform sex Steven Kirk Anderson, 32, was arrested at his home in Georgetown by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Anderson is being held at the Williamson County Jail in Georgetown in lieu of $35,000 bail. He is charged with solicitation to commit sexual assault of a minor. McKinney police said they were first made aware of the student’s allegations on July 2. The student told police that Anderson was his teacher at Scott Johnson Middle School in McKinney during the 2007-08 school year. The student said Anderson sent inappropriate text messages and pictures to him beginning in the summer of 2008, according to a police affidavit. Anderson was the choir teacher at Johnson Middle School from 2006 to 2010, authorities said. The victim told police Anderson wanted to play a game called 20 questions, according to the affidavit. Anderson asked the victim about his favorite color and his first kiss and then progressed to more sexual questions, the affidavit stated. The student said Anderson sent photos of himself in his underwear and of himself naked with a foggy mirror, the affidavit stated.
