Criminal justice teacher charged with pawning rented laptop

A criminal justice teacher at Fort Pierce Central High School is facing felony charges after being accused of pawning a rented laptop, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. Sharonda Johnson, 42, who is listed on the school’s website as a criminal justice instructor in the Career and Technical Education department, was charged with three felonies Thursday and arrested at her home on the 5500 block of Northwest Scepter Drive in Port St. Lucie. Johnson rented a laptop from Rent-A-Center on April 17 and is accused of trying to pawn it at a pawnshop for $75 later that day, ...
