    Samuel J. Paskey, a Cardinal High School teacher, has been placed on administrative leave based on statements from several students gathered as part of an ongoing investigation initiated by district administrators. The investigation began about two weeks ago, according to Cardinal High School Principal James Howard.

    On Feb. 26, [Samuel J. Paskey] was placed on administrative leave with pay as high school Principal Jim Howard began an investigation based on a parent’s phone call. The investigation started under the former superintendent, Paul Yocum, who when reached Tuesday said he had retired and no longer works for the district. Howard then took up the investigation alone, interviewing current and former students — all females. The incidents spanned multiple years, Howard said. Stanko said the police department had been investigating Paskey for a “couple of weeks.”
