A Spanish teacher at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of molesting an underage girl who is a former student, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said Thursday. Ricardo Aldana, 37, a teacher at the private school for seven years, was dismissed Thursday morning after the allegations surfaced, according to a statement from the school.

The lawyer representing the alleged victim was in court Monday, successfully seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent Aldana from contacting the girl. He said he plans to return to court Jan. 4 to make the restriction permanent. “This teacher was put in a position where he had free access to kids,” said attorney Vince Finaldi.
