    Prosecutors can play child pornography for jury, court rules in Bay Area cop’s appeal


    Two years after he was convicted of aggravated possession of child pornography and sentenced to state prison, a former Bay Area policeman lost his appeal in which he argued the prosecution committed “repeated, pervasive misconduct.” Attorneys for former California Highway Patrol officer Eric C. Lund, 56, argued that the prosecution was wrong to play portions of 15 child pornography videos found in Lund’s possession during his 2018 trial, that the court allowed hearsay testimony, and that the prosecution asked improper questions when Lund took the stand in his own defense.
