    Chappaqua school board accepts superintendent's resignation


    Top school official Lyn McKay, who came under intense scrutiny after approving a legal defense that blamed the victims of a sex-abuse case against a former high school teacher, is officially out as superintendent. A day after McKay sent a message to the district saying that she'll be stepping down from her post with the purpose of retiring, the five-member school board accepted her resignation to a scattered, sarcastic applause from a packed audience during Tuesday night's school board meeting.
