Ayers turned herself in Saturday and was released on $10,000 bond ... The mother of the alleged victim contacted police on Sept. 18 wishing to file charges against Ayers. She told police that Ayers had flicked and hit her son on the head, an arrest affidavit states. The boy later told investigators at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Central Texas that Ayers grabbed the boy around his rib area, leaving scratches and bruises. The affidavit also states Ayers grabbed the boy by the arm and dragged him.Tags:
KXXV: Local Pre-K Teacher Resigns After Being Arrested (Oct 18 2012) A Clements Parsons Elementary teacher resigned from her position Tuesday after she turned herself in to the Copperas Cove Police Department. A warrant was issued for her arrest, charging her with bodily injury to a child. Mary Ruth Ayers, 58, was taken to the Coryell County Jail, but was released after posting a $10,000 bond. She was charged after an alleged incident with a 4-year-old child who was in her class.
