A Palm Beach County school teacher who was charged with DUI after a hit-and-run collision offered oral sex to a police officer and invited him to grope her in exchange for letting her go, police said. Mary Patricia Maloney, a 7th grade science teacher at Palm Springs Middle School, was arrested Sunday by Greenacres police after a report of a hit-and-run at South Jog Road and Purdy Lane. "How much do I need to pay you to just let me go?" Maloney, 53, allegedly said to an officer driving her to the police station, according to the arrest report. "Don't you understand I am a school teacher?" Maloney of Lake Worth, then allegedly offered to provide oral sex to the officer. She also invited the officer to grope her breasts, according to the arrest report.​

Maloney has four arrests since 2009 including Sunday's incident, according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement records. In May 2009, she was charged with a misdemeanor DUI and pleaded guilty. She was charged with battery in August 2010 but prosecutors dropped that case. In October 2010, Maloney was charged with probation violation.​

Mary Patricia Maloney, 53, was taken into custody on Sunday night after police in Greenacres were called to investigate a report that a white van had been in a hit-and-run accident ... Inside her vehicle, officers saw that both airbags had deployed. In addition, a large - and empty - bottle of Carlo Rossi wine was found in the van. After she was arrested, Maloney, of Lake Worth, began shouting 'random vulgar statements,' according to a police report obtained by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel. Officers wrote in their report that at one point, Maloney yelled: 'How much do I need to pay you to just let me go? Don't you understand I am a school teacher?' The woman then proposed she would give the officer oral sex and let him fondle her breasts if he released her, according to the report.​

Greenacres police on Sunday evening were called to Trafalgar Square after witnesseses saw a hit-and-run collission involving a white Dodge van with heavy front end damage, and another vehicle. The witnesses followed the van until Maloney stopped and parked, according to the report. Police arrived and [Mary] Maloney was taken to a patrol car for questioning. An officer saw an empty gallon jug of Carlo Rossi wine inside the van. The arresting officer reported that when he made contact with Maloney, who was already in the back the a patrol car, he "immediately smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her person." He also noted that her eyes were bloodshot, glassy and only partially open. Maloney allegedly cursed and refused field sobriety tests. "She began to yell and make random vulgar statements," the officer wrote. "Her speech was so slurred I could hardly understand what she was saying." It was during the ride to jail that she offered the sexual favor, which added a bribery of a public servant charge ...​

Maloney was arrested in 2010 for violating her probation on that 2009 DUI conviction. She then spent 30 days, during the school year, in the Palm Beach County Jail. Earlier in 2010, Maloney was arrested on a battery charge after a domestic-violence incident involving her husband. That case was never prosecuted. Harrington said Maloney has already self-reported this latest arrest. She has been taken off the job and placed into an employee-assistance program, the district reported in a statement.​
