Military members, teacher, and sex predators among 71 arrested in Hillsborough human trafficking sting

There were 71 people arrested following a month-long human trafficking operation by Hillsborough County’s undercover detectives, the sheriff said, adding that the agency won’t slow down in tracking down "Johns" as Tampa becomes the Super Bowl host next month. "All of these men have one thing in common: they did not care if the women they were going to have sex with were being exploited, forced to sell their bodies against their will," Sheriff Chad Chronister explained Monday. During a press conference, he said "Operation Interception" involved undercover detectives posting online advertisements offering to meet up for sex. Female detectives ...

To the owners of this forum. I am the person in this story you have posted. I wanted to update you. Since this unwarranted arrest happened in January 2021...
    here are the facts:

*The case was dismissed without prejudice in April 2021.
*The case was expunged in December 2021.
*The source of the story (Fox 13) removed the story and my picture from all of their affiliates. (I was surprised by that)

I had nothing to do with that entire situation and being a family man, I am trying to repair my online presence, to which I have been pretty successful. I am hoping you will be as gracious as all the other blogs, news outlets, and forums have been to me by removing my image you copied to this forum, as well as the story headline "Kevin Cameron, visual arts teacher, North Tampa Christian Academy.

    I appreciate your consideration.

    THANK YOU!

This is a story that I have asked the owners of forum to delete. So many other news outlets and private forums have removed my picture and name simply because I asked and more formally because the case was dismissed and expunged.

I ask again please remove this story. Once the district attorney read my file she realized it was a mistake. I never appeared in court, I didn’t have to do a plea deal, after the facts were read it was immediately dropped and expunged.
I'm begging you to show some mercy and remove this story especially my picture. As you are well aware it has and can impact future opportunities for me to care for my family. Thank you.

    Hello,

I am so sorry that they have not heard your requests or have ignored you. That is not right!!

Oh and btw, to the people of this forum, the majority of “human trafficking raids” or undercover “human trafficking” investigation, and anything of the like, are not actually human trafficking!!

Pay attention to this sentence from the original post above, “All were charged with soliciting another to commit prostitution or entering/remaining in a place for prostitution.”

Now, if that was human trafficking, why would the victims be arrested and charged with prostitution?
Unfortunately, that does happen, a lot actually due to the police charging them for prostitution and not seeing they’re victims.

But in most cases, as if this case was actually a case of prostitution, but this was dismissed in court, nothing horrible was going on. It was sex workers trying to make a living, and it was consensual.
Sex work shouldn’t be criminalized where adults get arrested for having sex with consent. It’s ridiculous and makes it extremely dangerous for everyone.

Here’s a really good article about a guy who was caught by an undercover cop and sex workers spoke out - https://www.wweek.com/news/2021/10/...man-trafficking-arrests-arent-what-they-seem/

But these people should seriously take this down. It’s ridiculous. I suggest you find who runs this and you can sue them for defamation of character.
