Churchville teacher arrested for public intoxication

A kindergarten teacher at Churchville Elementary School was arrested Wednesday at school for public intoxication. A school resource officer with the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office responded to Churchville Elementary School for a report of an employee, who appeared to be intoxicated. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kelly Carol Cosby, 38, of Harrisonburg. Cosby was taken into custody and later appeared before the state magistrate, where she was charged and subsequently released on bond.

Kindergarten teacher charged with public intoxication

An Augusta County school employee is charged with showing up to work intoxicated. Kelly Carol Crosby, 38, of Harrisonburg, a kindergarten teacher at Churchville Elementary School, was charged with public intoxication on Wednesday. She was arrested by a school resource officer after a report to the officer that Crosby appeared to be intoxicated. Cosby was taken into custody, and later appeared before the magistrate and charged before subsequently released on bond.
