    Pre-K teacher in Grundy County arrested for public intoxication on school campus

    A pre-K teacher in Grundy County was arrested on Monday for public intoxication on a school campus, according to an incident report from the county's sheriff's office. According to the report, a preschool teacher at Swiss Memorial Elementary School came to school intoxicated to the point where the staff and administration felt that she was a danger to herself and others. The teacher agreed to take a drug screen and volunteered to ride with school administrators to Monteagle for test purposes.     Deputies: Grundy Co. Pre-K teacher charged with intoxication on school grounds

    Grundy County deputies say a Pre-K school teacher showed up to work intoxicated. The sheriff's office says Katie Northcutt teaches at Swiss Memorial School in Gruetli-Laager. Deputies say on Monday afternoon, Northcutt was so intoxicated that other staff felt she was a danger to herself and others. The arrest report says the teacher had dilated pupils, and was unable to sit still and comprehend simple instructions. Deputies also said Northcutt failed a field sobriety test at the school. Northcutt was arrested and charged with public intoxication on a school campus. She was taken to Grundy County Jail.
