When testimony resumed, Kessel says she didn't think anything was unusual about them coming over. She did testify that Hautzenroeder and the teens smoked marijuana. Kessel says she doesn't smoke pot. At some point, Kessel says one of the boys went into Hautzenroeder's bedroom with her, but the door was open. She left at 10 or 11 that night, and didn't see anything sexual between Hautzenroeder and the teens. Kessel says she kept in contact with the student she kissed. She sometimes texted him and saw him when she visited Hautzenroeder at the school. When the defense questioned Kessel, she admitted to lying to investigators about how long she was at Hautzenroeder's home. She says she was uncomfortable talking about it in front of her parents. Kessel also says she kissed one of the teens, while the other was in Julie's bedroom.
