    John Christopher Miller, 36, science teacher at George McDougall High School [Rocky View Schools] in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, has been "arrested ... and charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation" of a 17-year-old female student at the school:

    The 36-year-old George McDougall teacher who was arrested in Calgary and charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation, Oct. 17 has been identified. John Christopher Miller, who teaches science at the high school, was arrested after Airdrie RCMP officers were tipped off by a female, who is not involved in the case, that the teacher was having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student at the school. The third-party girl approached officers on Oct. 16 at around 11 p.m. during a hit-and-run investigation in Airdrie and alleged the relationship between Miller, who is also an Airdrie resident, and the female student.

    An Airdrie school teacher charged with sexual interference has been arrested after he allegedly continued contact with the 17-year-old victim. John Christopher Miller has been charged with 12 counts of breach of recognizance in addition to a sexual interference charge. A patrolling RCMP officer recognized Miller's vehicle leaving the area of George MacDougall High School in Airdrie, where he used to teach, the RCMP said in a release.

    Only two months after being charged for allegedly having sex with a student, an Airdrie teacher now faces additional charges for continuing the illegal relationship with a 17-year-old student. The new allegations came to light after an RCMP School Resource Officer noticed John Christopher Miller’s vehicle leaving George MacDougall High School, where he is suspended from his duties as a science teacher. He now faces 12 counts of breach of recognizance and one additional count of sexual interference.

    John Christopher Miller, the Airdrie teacher who was arrested in October and is facing charges of sexual interference, has been arrested after he allegedly contacted his 17-year old victim. Today, Airdrie RCMP arrested Miller after he was spotted by an RCMP officer who was conducting patrols in the area of the George MacDougall High School in Airdrie. Miller was employed at the school before he was arrested in October. After noting the vehicle, the officer began investigating Miller and was able to determine that John Christopher Miller had continued to contact the 17-year old victim.

    A 35-year-old high school teacher is in police custody for a second time after officers discovered John Miller was attempting to contact the 17-year-old girl he is alleged to have been having a relationship with ... Wednesday morning, an RCMP School Resource Office was patrolling near George MacDougall High School in Airdrie, when he recognized Miller’s vehicle leaving the area. An investigation into Miller’s presence at the school found that he had attempted to contact the 17-year-old girl.

He now faces 12 counts of breach of recognizance and one additional count of sexual interference. “In order for him to be charged with sexual interference, the contact between the two of them would have to be sexual in nature,” said Cpl. Darrin Turnbull of the RCMP. The other 12 counts come from continued contact with the 17-year-old victim, illegal under the terms of his bail conditions.

    An Airdrie teacher charged with having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student, then continuing the illicit affair even after charged, has been ordered to undergo a 30-day psychiatric assessment to determine his fitness to stand trial. Provincial court Judge Jim Ogle ordered the assessment Friday on John Christopher Miller during a brief appearance to face the charges ... Miller, who has been in Airdrie RCMP custody, will attend the Southern Alberta Forensic Psychiatric Centre for the assessment.

    Airdrie City View: Airdrie teacher faces additional 13 charges (Dec 27 2012)

    Airdrie RCMP have laid an additional 13 charges against former George McDougall High School teacher John Christopher Miller ... Miller was later arrested at his home in Airdrie and charged with 12 counts of breach of recognizance and one count of sexual interference. He is now in police custody.
