    Bristol Police Chief Josue Canario said Perry was arrested in Middletown, R.I., on arrest warrants for one count each of first- and second-degree child molestation. Perry is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institute in Cranston, R.I., pending a bail hearing on Jan. 18. The arrest of Perry follows a Providence County grand jury’s indictment of his brother, Richard Perry, 55, of 50 Arlington Ave., Warren, R.I. Richard Perry was arrested on Dec. 13 on two counts each of first- and second-degree child molestation. [Lt. Kevin] Tetrault said, in assisting the investigation, members of the Major Crimes Division executed a search warrant at Perry’s third-floor Beattie Street apartment and found two pistols and a rifle. Tetrault said Perry did not have a license to possess the firearms in Massachusetts and is being charged with three counts of possessing a firearm without a FID card, one count of possessing ammunition without a FID card and improper storage of a firearm.

    630 WPRO: Teacher and former youth coach charged with molestation, gun violations (Jan 7 2013)

    Bristol Police and Rhode Island State Police officers arrested Jesse S. Perry, 58 in Middletown on Friday. Perry, who once lived in Bristol but now lives in Fall River, Massachusetts and is a teacher at Dighton Middle School, was held over the weekend at the Adult Correctional Institution, and appeared in 6th District Court in Providence Monday, where he was ordered held for a bail hearing January 18. In a statement, police said that Perry formerly coached for both Bristol Pop Warner Football and Bristol Little League. Police said that Perry was arrested following an indictment charging his brother, Richard Perry, 55 of Warren with two counts of 1st degree child molestation and two counts of 2nd degree child molestation. Richard Perry was arrested December 13, 2012.

    Police spokesman Lt. Kevin Tetrault said Jesse Perry, 58, of 140 Beattie St., was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation conducted by Bristol, Fall River and Rhode Island State Police, in addition to the attorney general offices in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Bristol Police Chief Josue Canario said Perry was arrested in Middletown, R.I., on arrest warrants for one count each of first- and second-degree child molestation. Perry is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institute in Cranston, R.I., pending a bail hearing on Jan. 18 ... A 2011-2012 handbook for the Dighton-Rehoboth School District lists Perry as a sixth-grade teacher at the middle school. Various media reports indicated Perry retired in 2012.

    A former teacher in the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District, the brother of a Warren man being held on child molestation charges at the Rhode Island state prison, has himself been charged with child molestation and on Monday was ordered held at the same facility. Jesse Perry of Fall River was arrested Friday and arraigned Monday in District Court in Providence on two felony charges of first- and second-degree child molestation, said Craig Berke, a spokesman for the Rhode Island courts ... Attorney Paul DiMaio, who is representing both Richard and Jesse Perry, said there are different accusers in each case ... DiMaio said the alleged abuse in Jesse Perry's case was listed as having taken place over "diverse dates." He described the charges as vague in both cases.

Attorney Paul DiMaio said Jesse Perry of Fall River, Mass., was arrested Friday and arraigned Monday in District Court in Providence on felony child molestation charges. He's being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions ... DiMaio said the cases involve different alleged victims.

    Former youth coach gets life sentence for molestation

    Jesse Perry, 61, of Fall River, was convicted of first and second degree child molestation in a jury-waived trial back in January.
    The judge sentenced Perry to a life term for each of two counts of first degree molestation and 30 years for one count of second degree molestation, to be served concurrently.
