Ghana: State Should Take Care of Children Born As a Result of Defilement The Chronicle has today carried two defilement related stories. In the first story, a 27 year old teacher is reported to have defiled a 12 year pupil attending his class. He has since been arrested by the police who are preparing him for court. In the second story, a prison officer based at Koforidua in the Eastern region is reported to have raped a 15 year pupil. He has also been arrested and remanded into prison custody at Akuse.
