Dozens of state teachers charged with sexual misconduct since 2005, data shows Six former and current teachers and a teacher’s aide from districts across the state were scheduled to appear in state court last week on charges alleging they engaged in sexual misconduct with students. From Tuesday through Friday, at least one former or current teacher was scheduled to appear in court each day. One of the teachers, Kirvanna Jones, 24, is on administrative leave from her teaching position at New Haven’s Engineering Science University Magnet School.
