    All of the illegal activity took place since last August, Sheriff Mascara said. The victims were 14 and 15 years old. The victims claimed [Dan Allen] Hussan inappropriately touched them, took them to sporting events, out to dinner, and gave them money. Detectives said when they searched his classroom, they found a mirror under his desk pointed in the direction of the chair where the girls would sit to speak with him. After several victims described Hussan's behavior to a School Resource Deputy, detectives investigated.​

    All of the illegal activity took place during the current school year and involved victims ranging in age from 14 to 15, investigators said. Hussan's "conduct went well beyond a causal or friendly contact and was for a lewd and lascivious purpose," his arrest report said. It also indicated that Hussan had said to at least one victim that he "can't wait until you're 18. Actually, we're doing it sooner." As investigators looked around Hussan's classroom, they found a mirror "affixed to the underside of the suspect's desk," the report said.​

    A 68-year-old Fort Pierce Westwood High School teacher is facing six counts of lewd or lascivious conduct toward 14- and 15-year-old female students at the school, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said. Dan Allen Hussan is alleged to have touched some of the students in the thighs, shoulders, arms and hands, according to an arrest warrant made public Friday. He made sexual comments to each, telling two of them, “I can’t wait until you’re 18.” He also persuaded some of the students to go to dinner, the mall and sporting events with him in his car, where the talk and the touching would continue, the arrest report said. The victims also said Hussan asked them to sit close to his desk, under which police found a mirror directed toward the students. The school district did not authorize installation ... Hussan told police he cared for the students and liked to hug them.​

    CBS 12: Teacher accused of lewd behavior with six students (Mar 22 2014)

    Between August 2013 and February 2014, Sheriff’s investigators say he inappropriately touched six girls, 14 and 15-years-old. He allegedly made sexual comments to them, telling some of them "I can't wait' til you're 18." He allegedly gave them money, took them to dinner and shopping. According to the arrest report, Hussan told one girl he saw some red lingerie that he wanted to buy for her and said she will need to try it on for him. Another girl says he frequently joked about having sex with one of the girls in the backseat of his car and talked about having sex with them when they turned 18. One girl said he was hugging them and rubbing and patting their thighs. He also allegedly had a mirror affixed to the underside of his desk, pointed outward toward the area where the girls sat in his classroom.​

    WPTV: Dan Hussan: School documents show arrested St. Lucie County teacher was investigated in 2011 (Mar 24 2014)

    WPTV obtained a look at these documents inside Dan Hussan's personnel file. It includes a notice of investigation letter dated in September of 2011 alleging inappropriate contact with "a student". The language arts teacher is placed on temporary desk assignment and not allowed on school property. One month later in October 2011 there's another letter asking Hussan to meet with the personnel department. This time it refers to alleged inappropriate contact with "students". We were not allowed to look at a confidential folder in Hussan's file and don’t know how the investigation concluded but Hussan was allowed to return to the classroom. Later that school year he receives a positive review.​

    Former teacher found guilty of inappropriately touching girls

    In a late night verdict, a former Treasure Coast teacher accused of inappropriately touching several students has been found guilty on all 16 counts. Dan Hussan was a teacher at Westwood High School in Fort Pierce. He was arrested in 2014 after several girls came forward with complaints. Hussan turned down a plea deal for 10 years in prison.
