Daimon Sweet, 44, faces a second-degree felony for improper relationship between educator and student. Sweet is accused of carrying on a relationship with a 17-year-old female student. Katy ISD says administrators started this investigation after receiving an anonymous letter on may 15. Sweet resigned immediately on May 19. Sweet taught world history at Morton Ranch High. Sweet was also the interim boys basketball coach and took the Morton Ranch team to the playoffs last year. Report: Morton Ranch basketball coach arrested in connection with alleged inappropriate relationship with student A history teacher and interim basketball coach at Morton Ranch was arrested Wednesday on allegations of being in an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to a KPRC report. A letter was sent home by Katy ISD, the report said. An investigation began after an anonymous letter was delivered to an administrator last month stating the 44-year-old teacher, who has yet to be identified, was having an improper relationship with a 17-year-old female student.
