Claudia Tillery, 42, a teacher at Stephen Decatur Middle School in Brooklyn, was arrested yesterday at 5:30 p.m. off of school property. The sixth grade teacher is accused of wining and dining her young student after school hours, seducing him with drugs and alcohol, cops said. The alleged consensual relationship began in 2009 when the victim was only 12-year-old.

Claudia Tillery, 42, who teaches at MS 35, The Stephen Decatur Middle School in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is accused of starting the relationship in late 2009. She bribed the student, then a sixth-grader, with alcohol and marijuana, police said. An NYPD spokesman said the relationship was allegedly consensual at the time, though New York law considers sex with a minor statutory rape ... The boy recently came forward to inform authorities about the relationship, according to police.

Tillery allegedly had an ongoing relationship with the boy for at least the past two years. The boy apparently decided to end the relationship and tell authorities.

[Claudia] Tillery was arrested on charges of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, acting in a manner injurious to a child and sexual abuse, the New York Police Department said. She was also accused of unlawfully dealing with a child in the presence of drugs and alcohol, a charge usually applied to people who give those substances to children or allow them to be in a place where drugs or alcohol are used.
