    Chief Isaac says officer-involved shooting in Colerain Twp. was accidental discharge

    What started as a drug investigation of Andre Thomas, ended with an officer-involved shooting in Colerain Township. Plainclothes officers with CPD District 5's Violent Crimes Squad watched Thomas make several drug deals in Mt. Airy, according to Chief Eliot Isaac, and they followed Thomas into Colerain. Isaac says the officers were familiar with Thomas and that Thomas has an extensive criminal history. “As the officers approached, Mr. Thomas exited his vehicle and attempted to run past the officers that surrounded him.
