What a package! Three teachers at Triton Regional High School busted for shagging their students, two administrators nailed for not reporting the abuse. Will the last pervert to leave Triton High please turn out the lights?
Catherine DePaul, 55, principal at Triton Regional High School [Black Horse Pike Regional School District], Runnemede, New Jersey, "failed to contact local law enforcement or the state Division of Children and Families and inform either of the allegations"
The substitute teacher then notified Principal Catherine DePaul, 55, who, "in contravention to her legal responsibilities, failed to contact local law enforcement or the state Division of Children and Families and inform either of the allegations," the statement said. Instead, DePaul met with the female student who told her that "teachers and students were hooking up," the criminal complaint states. According to the prosecutor's statement, DuPaul asked the student to write an account of the allegations.
Prosecutors say [Catherine ] DePaul met with the student who told her he'd been to one of the teacher's homes with a girl who was involved with him and had seen explicit text messages they had exchanged. Authorities say that DePaul asked her to write an account of what she had heard and that Assistant Principal Jernee Kollock stayed with the student to help her write the statement - and make it seem less serious. Around the same time, Faulk said, DePaul learned one of the teachers had driven an alleged victim and another student to Ocean City in violation of district policy. But, he said, the teacher was merely reprimanded.
Three teachers from Triton Regional High School in Runnemede, New Jersey have been arrested and accused of having inappropriate sexual relations with three female students. Teachers Jeffrey Logandro, 32, Daniel Michielli, 27, and Nicholas Martinelli, 28, turned themselves in today facing official misconduct charges. The victims all graduated in June. Two of the students were 17 and one was 18 at the time. Principal Catherine DePaul and Vice Principal Jernee Kollock are also facing charges of official misconduct for allegedly knowing about what was happening and not reporting it to law enforcement. Logandro and Michielli face additional charges of criminal sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child because their victims were only 17.

News reports on Friday Oct. 5:
The AP reported erroneously that a prosecutor said rape charges could not be brought against three defendants because the alleged victims were above the legal age of consent. One student with whom one of the defendants is alleged to have had sexual intercourse was under the age of consent, and a sexual assault charge was filed in that case. In addition, the AP erroneously paraphrased the comments of a prosecutor when he said the circumstances were unusual. The prosecutor did not characterize the situation as a case of three sexual assaults by teachers at one school. Only one of the cases involves a sexual assault charge.
The two Triton High School administrators were arrested for allegedly covering up the situation when they found out. Principal DePaul has been accused of meeting with a non-victimized student who knew about the relationships, and having her write an account of the situation that was made to sound less serious by Vice Principal Kollock, according to the NBC report. Neither DePaul nor Kollock contacted authorities, prosecutors say. They have been charged with official misconduct.
And when the school's top administrators were told of the alleged activities, Principal Catherine DePaul and Vice Principal Jernee Kollock worked to protect the teachers rather than turn them in, authorities allege ... According to the prosecutor, DePaul learned of the allegations in April from a substitute teacher who had been told by a pupil that teachers were engaging in sexual contact with students. DePaul did not alert authorities as the law required but instead "conducted a halfhearted and inadequate inquiry aimed primarily at protecting the teachers and covering up their relationships with the students," Faulk said. As part of that effort, Faulk said the student who had alerted the substitute teacher was told to write down her account. Kollock then interfered to "water down" and change portions of what the student wrote, Faulk alleged.
Principal Catherine DePaul and Vice Principal Jernee Kollock are also facing charges of official misconduct for allegedly knowing about these sexual allegations and not reporting them to law enforcement.
In April, one of the teachers drove one of the girls and another student to Ocean City, N.J., for the day, where they met other Triton pupils, according to officials. Information about that incident and the ongoing relationships was brought to the attention of principal Catherine DePaul and assistant principal Jernee Kollock a short time later, after a male student told a substitute teacher he had seen explicit text messages between one of the teachers and students, according to authorities ... DePaul never informed authorities of the male student's allegations, and Kollock coached him during the writing of a "watered-down" statement, Faulk said. When DePaul informed the district of the student's statement, she mentioned only the car ride, which violated school policy barring social contact between teachers and students but was considered a minor infraction.
Authorities said a student, not one of the alleged victims, told a substitute teacher in April that teachers were "hooking up" with students. The substitute teacher then reported the allegations to DePaul. Prosecutors said DePaul met with the student, who told her she'd been to one of the teacher's homes with a girl who was involved with him and saw the explicit text messages. Authorities said DePaul asked her to write an account of what she heard and Kollock stayed with the student to help her write the statement, helping her with her grammar, and making the accusations seem less serious. Faulk said that around the same time, DePaul learned that one of the teachers drove an alleged victim and another student to Ocean City in violation of district policy. But the teacher was merely reprimanded. Neither administrator contacted authorities, Faulk said. Both were charged with official misconduct.
