    Boston Globe: Brookline public school employee faces child pornography charges (Nov 16 2012)

    School Superintendent William H. Lupini said today that no evidence has yet emerged suggesting that a Brookline High School paraprofessional accused of possession of child pornography had improper contact with special education students he worked with. Benjamin Schwartz was arrested by Brookline and State Police on Thursday on charges of possession of child pornography and dissemination of obscene matter, according to Brookline police and a spokesman for Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey.

    Arrest for Possession Child Pornography

    On Thursday, November 15th, 2012, the Brookline Police, working in conjunction with Massachusetts State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested 32 year old Benjamin Schwartz on charges of possession of child pornography and dissemination of obscene matter. The joint investigation lead to the execution of a search warrant of Swartz’s Brookline residence. Swartz was arrested and will be arraigned in Brookline Court on 11-16-2012.

    Brookline Patch: Brookline High School Employee Charged with Possession of Child Pornography (Nov 16 2012)

    Benjamin Schwartz, 32, of Brookline was charged with possession of child pornography and dissemination of obscene material on Thursday. Schwartz has worked at Brookline High School for the last 10 years as a special education paraprofessional. “Mr. Schwartz was on leave when this occurred,” Superintendent Bill Lupini said. "He was on a family medical leave since Oct. 1 for issues totally unrelated to this instance.”

    [Benjamin] Schwartz, 32, was arrested Thursday on charges of child porn possession and disseminating obscene material. He has worked in Brookline schools for 10 years. Superintendent William Lupini issued the statement Friday afternoon, saying the schools are cooperating with police as they investigate this crime. Lupini stressed that at this point there is no evidence that any students were harmed or involved in the case.

    A special education aide in Brookline, Mass., is facing child pornography charges. Benjamin Schwartz was already on a leave of absence for reasons unrelated to his arrest. Apparently, it didn't take detectives long to find out Schwartz was allegedly looking at child pornography. Their investigation started just three weeks ago.

"He said he had pornography and had downloaded some disturbing stuff and when asked he also stated he down loaded them accidentally and didn't know what to do with them so he left them on his computer," prosecutor Danielle Piccarini said.

    WHDH: Brookline HS employee faces child porn charges (Nov 16 2012)

    Benjamin Schwartz, who works with special needs students at Brookline High School, is accused of having sexually explicit videos on his personal computer involving young girls. Schwartz, 32, who has been out of medical leave since October, pleaded not guilty in court Friday for possessing and distributing child pornography.
