He would meet her at his house and her home, give her rides home from practice and even took her along on a business trip to Philadelphia. Troopers said they contacted school officials late Friday night to let them know about the charges....He started a sexual relationship with the girl toward the end of May, while his wife was pregnant with their now 2-month-old child, police said. The relationship continued and Stopper had sexual intercourse with the student just after his child was born and while his wife was still in the hospital, according to state police. The victim told police she was alone with Stopper at her house at least 20 times. When asked by police how often the victim and Stopper had intercourse, the victim said, "everytime I saw him," according to police documents.The relationship ended Friday when the girl's father found out and contacted the Berks County District Attorney's Office, which asked state police to investigate. The victim said she had planned on meeting Stopper after practice Friday at her home, but her father returned home unexpectedly, police documents state. The father also turned over phone records that showed sexually explicit texts between Stopper and his daughter, according to state police. Text messages indicated they had come from a phone registered to Stopper, and the texts outlined "details of the sexual relationship and sexual acts," police said. Tags:

"They drove home and drove into the driveway and [police] put him in the car and arrested him, took him away," ... State Police said the teenager's father alerted authorities Friday morning. According to court papers, the 16 year-old girl said she and Stopper had sex "every time I saw him ... at least 20 times" since May -- even while Stopper's wife was in the hospital after giving birth. On one occasion, Stopper allegedly took the teen on a business trip in Philadelphia, having sex with her in his car on the drive back. Other sexual encounters allegedly took place in the girl's home, and some at Stopper's house, according to arrest papers. Stopper is now accused of institutional sexual assault. "That's very disheartening," said neighbor Heather Hackman. State troopers searched the teenager's phone records and they found sexual text messages between Stopper and the girl, according to an arrest warrant.

Stopper is an assistant track and field and football coach at the school and met the girl while coaching. Police say Stopper would sometimes give the girl rides to and from school activities. The relationship began in May 2013, while Stopper’s wife was pregnant with their now 2-month-old child. Police say Stopper had sexual contact multiple times with the victim at numerous locations throughout the Berks County.
