4-year old April Wade was arrested Friday. Court documents show that a guidance counselor called police after getting an anonymous tip that the student was living with Wade. The 17-year old student told police he had started doing odd jobs around the teacher's home last year when a relationship developed. Documents indicate he's been living with her for the past 8 months. He also said the teacher bought him a car. Wade was charged with Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure.

In court documents, the teen told police he'd been doing odd jobs around [April] Wade's home last year when a romantic relationship developed and he moved in. He said Wade bought him things, including a car. Police didn't find out about the two until a school counselor got an anonymous tip. "A lot of times it's not necessarily the victim that comes forward with the information but another party finds out about the incident or incidents and reports it that way," Cleveland said. A judge has reset Wade's case to November 8th. She's currently out on bond and on suspension. MCS has suspended her without pay pending the outcome of the MPD investigation.
