A spokesman for the university's police department told KENS 5 Eannarino was arrested inside Neeley Hall, a co-ed dormitory, without incident....According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, a 12-year-old girl told relatives Eannarino began sexually assaulting her in April 2011, when she was 10 years old. The accusation came while the girl was visiting family in Corona, California. Authorities in Corona contacted the Bexar County Sheriff's Office in early May; the department then began its own investigation.

The mother, who lives in San Antonio with the girl, sent her to live with her grandfather in California. The girl then confided to her grandfather that she had been sexually assaulted by Eannarino in San Antonio, according to the affidavit. After learning of this, the mother traveled to California to speak with the girl, the affidavit states. The case was initially reported to the Corona Police Department in California. The girl told an officer that Eannarino fondled her and forced her to perform sexual acts and view pornography on his computer. The affidavit states that Eannarino also blindfolded the girl and bound her hands with black Velcro handcuffs while performing a sexual act.
