    A olice officer in South Carolina was caught on video in a physical altercation with a 16-year-old female student who refused to comply with her teacher's request to put away her cellphone. There are so many things wrong with this situation that one does not know where to start. First, the presence of police officers in schools is to protect students from criminal activity. Student discipline is the responsibility of teachers and school administrators.
