    Rains County justice of the peace arrested for DWI

    According to the Rains County Sheriff’s Office, a justice of the peace from that county was arrested for DWI on Thursday. Robert Jenkins Franklin, 44, the Justice of the Peace for Rains County, was arrested on March 21 on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Texas DPS, according to the sheriff’s office. He was released on a $1,500 cash/surety bond.
