District Attorney Pamela Casey said in an earlier story that investigators became aware of the allegations on Nov. 24. Teacher arrested Matt Wester, 37, has been charged with "a school employee having sexual contact with a student," according to the Blount County Jail. According to his indictment, Wester “is a school employee who intentionally and knowingly engaged with a male or female student under the age of 19 in sexual contact including kissing and spending the night with the victim.” Wester was released after posting a $6,000 bond last week.
