Teacher, 34, is fired after 'students stole her naked selfies and posted them online'
    • Lekeshia Jones claims students stole three of her selfies from her phone and shared them on a Facebook page called 'T.H.O.T. (That Ho Over There)'
    • The pictures were of 'Jones lying in bed naked and partially draped in a sheet, completely nude and a close up of female anatomy'
    • The business teacher was fired from Georgia's Myers Middle School last week for being irresponsible
    • She's suing the school for wrongful termination and wants to press charges against the students
A former business teacher is suing the school which fired her after students allegedly stole nude selfies from her cell phone and posted them online. Lekeshia Jones, 34, was sacked from Myers Middle School in Savannah, Georgia last week for being 'insubordinate' and irresponsible with her phone. However Jones said she was wrongfully fired and the only mistake she made was trusting her 14-year-old students to respect her privacy. 'I feel like I was the victim, like I had been violated,' Jones told WTOC-TV.

Teacher plans to press charges against students

A teacher plans to press charges against 14-year-old students who she said are the reason she lost her job. Lekeshia Jones was fired Wednesday by the Savannah-Chatham County School Board after officials said students took her phone and posted nude pictures of her online. There is new Georgia law now against cyber bulling but it wouldn't punish these students because the law passed in July. The students made posts before the law was passed into legislation. But Jones said she still plans to charge them with theft and invading her privacy. Jones said she can't believe her own students would ...

Myers Middle teacher dismissed over nude photo incident

Myers Middle School teacher Lekeshia Jones was fired Wednesday on the grounds that her insubordination and cellphone irresponsibility resulted in students circulating nude photos of her.

The Savannah-Chatham school board voted 8 to 1 to terminate Jones after district officials described the drama that ensued after Jones twice left her cellphone unattended in her classroom.

Terminated Savannah teacher speaks out about nude cellphone photos

Lekeshia Jones said she thought something strange was going on when she sent her Myers Middle School business club students off to get scissors and they never came back. She found them a few minutes later, huddled over their cellphones in her classroom. The girls seemed startled when Jones walked into the room. And for good reason. They had gone through the 34-year-old business teacher’s cellphone and found her stash of nude selfies. But instead of just gawking, giggling and gossiping about what they had seen, the girls snapped copies of the images with their phones, texted them to their friends and classmates and posted them on social media sites.

Lekeshia Jones: Nude Selfies Got Teacher Fired, Now She’s Plotting Revenge — On Her Students

Lekeshia Jones was fired from her job as a middle school teacher in Savannah, Georgia, last week after an incident when students got into her personal phone, with a password she had allegedly given them earlier so they could call home if they stayed after school, and found three nude selfies there.

But the school said that she had a responsibility to report the incident, which she didn’t do, and that it was also her job to keep her phone secure. The school also accused her of insubordination when, after she was pulled out of the classroom as a disciplinary measure and given a temporary administrative position, she stayed home for three weeks, using the time to file a series of complaints about how the school was treating her. So last Wednesday, the Savannah-Chatham School Board voted 8-1 to send her packing.
