GUILTY 28 September 2015 A former teacher at Centre Elementary School, Leah B. Garmany, 36, has entered a guilty plea to a Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree charge, as charged in count two of the indictment. As part of the plea agreement, count one of the indictment, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, was dismissed. On the Sexual Abuse Second Degree charge the judge imposed a 12 month sentence, which was suspended for 24 months; if Garmany fails to abide by the guidelines put forth, she will then have to return to jail and serve a full year. Additionally Garmany is required to register within sixty days pursuant to the Sex Offender Registration & Notification Act.
