Retired teacher charged with sex offences against boys

A retired Midland teacher has been charged with sexual offences against teenage boys in the 1980s. John Patton, who previously taught at Kingshurst School in Cooks Lane, Chelmsley Wood, was accused of three counts of indecent assault against two 15-year-olds. The offences were alleged to have taken place at an address in Coventry between April and May 1984.

John Patton, of Mount Nod, appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court on Thursday. The 75-year-old, who used to teach in Chelmsley Wood, was charged with three indecent assaults against two former pupils who were aged 15 at the time. It’s alleged the offences took place in Coventry between April and May 1984.

Former Chelmsley Wood teacher charged with historic sex offences

John Patton, of Mount Nod, Coventry, appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court last week. The 75-year-old, who used to teach in Chelmsley Wood, was charged with three indecent assaults against two former pupils who were aged 15 at the time. It is alleged the offences took place in Coventry between April and May 1984. Patton was bailed to appear at the crown court in Leamington in January.

Retired Solihull school teacher faces fourth sex offence charge

A retired Solihull school teacher, who has been charged with sexual offences against teenage boys in the 1980s, has today been charged with a further offence. John Patton, who worked at Kingshurst School in Cooks Lane, Chelmsley Wood, has been charged with a fourth count of indecent assault. The charge comes as the 73-year-old, from Coventry, is awaiting trial for three other counts of indecent assault against two former pupils, aged 15 at the time.
