According to the jail records, the offense date was February 24 and he was able to post a $10,000 bond to get out of jail ... The Denton Record Chronicle reported that Sanger ISD released a written statement on Friday saying a school employee engaged in "inappropriate, unprofessional and unethical behavior." Exline was not mentioned by name in the email according to the Record Chronicle. The Record Chronicle quoted the email as saying in part, "SISD administration has been in communication with the Sanger Police Department regarding the matter and possible criminal implications." Former Sanger Band Director Charged With Indecency With A Child In [Jimmie] Exline’s arrest warrant affidavit, a Sanger police detective says the school district’s superintendent, Kent Crutsinger, told him that Exline Jr. resigned February 27 and had committed a “felony offense.” The affidavit has many details crossed out, including whether the victim is a boy or girl and where exactly the incidents allegedly took place. The court document quotes the victim as saying the band director touched him or her inappropriately, and placed the victim’s hand on him inappropriately as well. From the Sanger ISD web site via Google Cache: Mr. Jimmie Exline Jimmie Exline earned a Bachelor in Music Education (1990) and a Masters in Music Education (2012) from Texas Tech University. He has taught (new system) C, CC, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A over the last 23 years. Mr. Exline is a husband, father, band director, and drill writer. His bands, in all classifications, have consistently earned UIL Sweepstakes Awards. He has served as Area West Coordinator of The Association of Texas Small School Bands; Region 16 Band Division Chair of Texas Music Educators Association; UIL Region 6 and 13 Concert and Sight-Reading contest host; and numerous positions as All-Region Band Organizer. He also actively serves as a UIL Concert/Sight-Reading adjudicator and All-Region Band clinician. Mr. Exline's bands have performed at UIL State Marching Contest, UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival, UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest, and have been selected to state contests in ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series and TMEA Honor Band. Students have earned All-State Honors in both ATSSB and TMEA, along with Outstanding Performances at the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival and UIL State Solo competition.
