Press-Enterprise: EASTVALE: Former teacher charged with sex with student (Jan 2 2014) Riverside County prosecutors filed the charges in December against Jason Stubbs, 27, of Corona, after a four-month investigation into his relationship with the girl at Jurupa Valley High School ... A Riverside County judge issued a warrant for Stubbs’ arrest Dec. 11, but the court has not set a date for Stubbs to be arraigned....Stubbs had been a regular substitute in the girl’s English class and the girl later attended one of his rap concerts. She began texting him, and in the early-morning hours of July 8, she invited him via Twitter over to her home for food, court records state. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies interviewed the girl, who said she had sex with Stubbs in her bedroom four times over the summer. The girl said that Stubbs didn’t know she was 17, but that he never asked her age, according to court records. When authorities interviewed Stubbs in August, he admitted having sex with the girl several times. He said she told him she was 18 and was no longer in high school. He said he did not remember substituting in her class.A day after Stubbs’ arrest, the girl received an anonymous letter telling her to deny the sexual relationship to police so the charges would be dropped, according to court records. Detectives had not determined the source of the letter at the time the court documents were filed.
