He was arrested by Smith County officials on Nov. 16, 2005. He received deferred adjudication on the charge, meaning his felony status went away once he served probation. Angelina County Jail records show Ballard was arrested on Jan. 15, 2009, for misdemeanor charges of assault and criminal mischief on Dallas County warrants. KTRE: 3rd victim comes forward against Nacogdoches sub teacher (Apr 16 2013) According to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained on April 15, Nacogdoches ISD Police interviewed a Nacogdoches High School student, who said [Jamar] Ballard was a substitute teacher in her sixth-period class. She said on that same day, she saw Ballard in the parking lot in a white car and he offered to give her a ride home. He then drove her to the Victorian Inn and Suites, located at 3612 North St. She said once they arrived, they got a room and Ballard had sex with her. They then left the hotel and he took her home, she said. Police then contacted the hotel manager, who checked hotel records and confirmed Ballard had checked into the hotel.
