Newark High teacher charged with exchanging nude photos with student According to a Newark police report, Burns, when questioned, admitted “sending and receiving nude images with the victim and also discussing engaging in sexual conduct.” The report says a high-school administrator contacted police after an internal investigation determined that Burns had been texting and snap-chatting with a student, sometimes as often as 22 times in an hour and in the middle of the night. The student had deleted the texts and disguised Burns’ name in her phone, the report states. School officials investigated after hearing rumors at school about an inappropriate relationship between Burns and a student.
