A New York man said he was shocked beyond measure when he discovered that his estranged wife, a New York City police officer, allegedly hired a hit man to kill him. "I can't believe it. NYPD officer from Oceanside indicted in murder-for-hire plot

An NYPD officer from Oceanside has been indicted by a grand jury in connection with a murder-for-hire plot. According to court documents, Valerie Cincinelli is charged with two counts of murder for hire, as well as obstruction of justice. Cincinelli is accused of asking her boyfriend to hire a hit man to kill her estranged husband and the boyfriend's daughter. Federal prosecutors say Cincinelli withdrew $7,000 to pay the killings, which never occurred. She's being held without bail.
