A law enforcement source told the Advance that Danielle Johnsen, 29, a science teacher, had inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old student three months ago when the girl visited her Port Richmond home. ... According to the source, the girl, a sophomore at the Grymes Hill school, was watching a movie at Ms. Johnsen’s home when the inappropriate contact occurred. The alleged relationship came to the school’s attention Monday, when some of the girl’s friends alerted a guidance counselor, the source said. The friends said the teen had become distraught after Ms. Johnsen ended their relationship, the source said.

The Staten Island Catholic high-school teacher accused of carrying on an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old student was arraigned today on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said. Notre Dame Academy science teacher Danielle Johnsen, 29, sporting a black hooded sweatshirt and gray slacks, pleaded not guilty during her appearance in Stapleton Criminal Court and was released without bail ... Johnsen had been arrested after she turned herself in to the 120th Precinct yesterday afternoon, said a spokesman for Staten Island DA Daniel Donovan. On Feb. 16 and March 2, Johnsen and the straight-A student from the all-girls school on Grymes Hill locked lips while hanging out, according to court papers. And, on March 13, Johnsen again kissed the girl and shoved her hand down the teen’s pants when they rendezvoused at Johnsen’s Jewett Avenue home in Port Richmond, court documents state.
