York Dispatch: Police: Former Dallastown teacher sexually assaulted student (Sept 26 2013) A former Dallastown Area Middle School teacher [Christopher John Boyer] is free on $50,000 bail, accused of sexually molesting one of his students over a four-year period, starting when she was 13 years old, police said ... Charging documents allege the contact between Boyer and the girl consisted of touching, fondling, kissing and digital penetration. He was arraigned Wednesday morning by District Judge Scott Laird, according to court records....Police began investigating Boyer in December after the girl told investigators about the alleged relationship, charging documents state. During that relationship, Boyer had the girl go to a lavatory with his iPhone and take photos of herself, police allege. The girl said she photographed her bare chest, genitals and buttocks and gave him his phone back, according to documents.When he was interviewed in January by police, Boyer denied all the allegations and said he'd never given the girl his phone to take inappropriate photos of herself, documents state. That's when lead investigator Officer Michael Zinn Jr. asked to see the phone. "Boyer declined to allow me to view his cellular telephone," Zinn wrote in charging documents, and also said he'd thrown away his personal computer two days prior to the interview. York Daily Record: Police: Former Dallastown teacher charged in alleged sexual assaults on student (Sept 27 2013) The alleged assaults occurred in the school as well as on school-related trips, the release states. On at least one occasion, Boyer assaulted her while she helped him move items from one classroom to another, according to court documents. After a field trip, police said, Boyer allegedly gave the girl his cellphone and told her take photos of herself in the bathroom down the hall from his classroom, documents state. During an interview with police, Boyer denied touching the girl or allowing her to take photos of herself nude on his phone, according to charging documents. Police obtained warrants to view Boyer's phone as well as his computers and USB drives. A forensic examiner found photos of a young woman lifting her shirt to expose her bra, according to court documents. The background of the image was later determined to be the girls' bathroom at the middle school, police said. The girl identified herself as the person in the photo, documents state.
