Sentencing set for former Sabine ISD aide accused of inappropriate relationship with student 13 January 2021 A Gregg County judge has set the sentencing hearing for a former Sabine Independent School District teacher’s aide who is charged with inappropriate relationship with a student. Cassie Wyn Dowden is awaiting sentencing for improper relationship between an educator and a student. Dowden appeared in court Wednesday as part of a plea agreement hearing. Judge J. Former Sabine ISD teacher's aide gets probation for improper relationship with student 24 March 2021 A former Sabine ISD teacher’s aide was sentenced to 10 years’ probation Wednesday for a relationship with a high school student. Cassie Wyn Headley, 29, pleaded guilty in January to a felony charge of an improper relationship between an educator and a student. Headley, who is listed as Cassie Wyn Dowden in court documents, was sentenced by 188th District Court Judge J. Scott Novy to 10 years deferred probation with jail time, a $10,000 fine and other restrictions.
